How we make media sales training both fun and effective

Through a series of stories, audiovisual simulations, and interactive exercises, sales guru, Josh Gordon, creates an experiential learning event that will help your sales people sell more.

"I want you to imagine..." begins Josh Gordon as he starts a training session designed to help salespeople ask questions so that customers answer them. He invites his audience on an imaginary walk down West 57th Street in New York City on a busy afternoon. As he continues several characters "walk up" to the audience and ask for directions to Carnegie Hall. After each encounter Josh asks his audience, "Would you answer this man's question?" As each audience member weighs their personal response a deeper kind of learning is taking place. While there are many lessons of selling that can be intellectually learned, many are emotional. Josh's involvement training is designed to bring out both.

Josh challenges salespeople to imagine situations where they re-examine their role in the selling process. His audiences think and feel the lessons and become more effective in the process. Said one attendee, "In Josh's session I learned by doing, not by listening to a lecture."

It’s a real world. It’s fun. It works.

Josh's programs today have a unique interactivity but he has always been an A/V training innovator. In 1980 he was written up in Training magazine for producing the series of 27 ground-breaking programs that, for the first time ever, used A/V tools to train more 600,000 workers taking the 1980 National Decennial Census.
